Pattern Issue

I created a part with a pattern of bodies within it.  I used this part for an assembly.  Going back in forth from the assembly to the part and making dimensional changes worked fine.  BUT, when I edited the number of instances of the body in the part, then went back to the assembly, the updated instance(s) is not shown.  Is there a problem with my workflow or is this a software limitation?

    An added note...the pattern seemed to update fine when I went from 4 instances to 2.  But when going from 4 to 5, the 5th instance does not appear.

    I think you should create the pattern in the assembly instead of part studio.
    I suspect what is happening is when you go from 4 to 2 the other two instances have an error and disappear from graphics view.
