What kind of spline is this?

Seems like a new CAD system would have it's splines behave.

Maybe it's just not possible.

Create a 2d spline with handles in a sketch:

Ok, so I made a mistake and need the spline on a different face:
So I create a new sketch and "use" the original spline in the 1st sketch.

"use" projects the entity onto the new sketch with the following constraints:

So I delete the constraints and I'm expecting the drag handles to appear:

Since I'm in the business of creating drag handles for splines, let me create my own drag handle:

What is this spline thingy? These p-splines drive me nuts! How does it know to follow the original curve when I deleted the on edge reference?

Is it not possible to write a CAD system that'll drop p-splines into user friendly splines with drag
handles?

I can recreate your quasi-spline. My only suggestion is to change the support plane for the original sketch instead of using the spline edge in a new sketch.

    mahir-that'd work.

But... my point is to onshape trying to make something better than SW. In SW there's so many generated curves that couldn't be manipulated by the user. offset splines, fitted splines and surface intersects all these should be splines a user can manipulate. Or at least give me an option to convert these types of computed splines into splines with handles.
