Part transparency?

I'll apologize in advance for coming at this from a SolidWorks perspective...
Is there a way to change the way a part appears in an assembly so that it is transparent? This is valuable in SW as it allows you to visualize component relationships inside of other components, without actually hiding anything.

Also you can make all parts other than one part transparent using Isolate option by right clicking on particular part,
To make one part transparent, you can change the transparency of particular part in part studio it self.

To edit the transparency of the part in the part studio, right-click on the part name or the part itself and select 'Edit appearance'.

What is needed is the ability to specify an appearance override of part instances in the assembly. This appearance override is something that would be saved in the assembly's configuration (if and when there is such a thing as assy configs).
