How to design the "matrioshka"-effect

Hi,
I would like to design a wrapper around a complex form with a certain distance between, like the famous russian doll matrioshka, where you can open a figure and there is the same figure inside, just a bit smaller so it doesn't scratch. I saw the the offset function in the scratch, but that didn't work to wrap the 3d body.
Is there a function to do that?

You can do this as many times as necessary for the number of nested objects you want. The great part is that any changes to the first (parent) model will update the smaller ones down the line.6
