Unable to hide Mate "Icons" in Assembly Window

These things shows up all of a sudden in my assemblies for no apparent reason and the only way to get rid of them is redoing the mate which only works for a while... They can appear as I'm creating Mates or just when I load the Document etc.
Suppressing or hiding them have no effect.
Surely I'm just missing something but I haven't solved it for several weeks now and thought I'd try here.

I would try to empty browser cache & refresh (ctrl+F5 few times), then test another browser and if the problem still appears send feedback and have Onshape stuff take a look.
