Can OnShape convert a mesh file (STL) into a geometry file?

I have a STL file with >7000 triangle elements. Just wondering how to convert the mesh to geometry.

Meshes can be imported into a Part Studio (may need preprocessing with STL Workbench from the Onshape App Store first), but they can only be used as reference geometry for building sketches etc.

Alternatively, you can use InStep (Connected Desktop App) to load STL/OBJ files and then upload to Onshape as a Document. That will give you a body to reference/interact with - but (obviously) it won't be parametric/feature based (but you can make holes/changes/etc. just like an imported Step file).
