Simultaneous editing: having one user hide a part, other users not hide a part

Hello,

Is there a way to:
  • have two users editing the same Part Studio...
  • but have one user hide Part A,
  • and another user hide Part B?
So far it seems that hiding a part for one user hides it for all other users...

We would really like to be able to selectively have different users hide parts, so that multiple people can edit different parts of the same studio and focus on just one part.

This seems like a really basic feature, that would be super useful!  Please let me know?

Pete

p.s. -- branching and merging is a workaround, but is overly complicated!  This is for teaching a group of kids how to use Onshape, working together at the same time.

Hi @pete_florence - you are right this can be a pain if you have multiple people working on the same part. The reason is that we record every hide/show action which doesn't help in this situation. Please raise an improvement request in the category on the right --->
