Hey guys,
Ive made up an assembly that uses multiple mates and when i try to put a cylindrical mate in i cant get it to have the same axes and when i do it i get a message saying that it is overdefines the assembly and my other mates turn red as well. below is the link.

as the thread turns (rotate mate all good)) i want the pin (pin slot mate) to move along the thread ( i cant get the cylindrical mate to work here) and the arm to rotate on axis (rotate mate and tangent mate with pin) all good.
hoping its something simple and someone can help me out.
Cheers
Craig

If you remove the pin slot mate it all works out.

Test by animating revolute 2 as shown
I clicked on your link but it wont let me open it.
I keep trying to add the cylindrical mate but i cant get it to line up centrally. When i choose the screw thread the only mate connectors are on the edge i cant seem to get a central one so when i then chose the pin and it selects centrally obviously the shaft is then off centre. I have removed the pin slot mate but it always lines up off centre. What am i doing wrong? Starting to get frustrated.

Craig

Also edit your pin, roll up to before you add the thread and add a mate connector to the center of the hole. Then yeu will have a nice target to mate to
