Can a pin slot work on a curved slot?

I can't seem to get this to behave with out going wonky.

The pin will be fixed and I need to get the lid to rotate about the slot.

I figure I can do this w/ some mate connectors and a revolute mate but thought the pin slot might be able to work.

Will it, what am I doing wrong?

Yes. But it seems to get stuck once it get into an end then the mates goes red.

I did it w/ mate connectors on the pivot point but wanted to see if used the pin slot was possible.

I'm sure I've seen @cody_armstrong demonstrate a pin in a wavy slot so I'm sure it's do-able.

@owen_sparks  Yes it was done using a Tangent Mate.  @Tony_C_ Pin Slot will not work in this case because the slot direction is not linear.  Tangent mate should work in this situation. I see you've also figured out a way to do this using limits on a revolute mate.
