just spent 2 hrs debuging my computer,( no fault to onshape ) with all the shared files and links, are we safe from malware?

    Hi @walter. We just did a security webinar this morning and we talked about some of the benefits of using a cloud service over local hardware. Malware and viruses did come up. :-)

    The servers that comprise our service are built by infrastructure automation and are replaced regularly. These server also are single purpose. All they do is run a particular component of Onshape. So, from a service point of view, we are pretty safe from malware.

    What you need to be careful of is malware on your own machine. Anything that can steal your login credentials is a concern. Using things like two-factor authentication (https://cad.onshape.com/help/#web-help/twofactorauthentication.htm) can help keep your account secure even if your username and password are compromised.
