I'm trying to shorten the length by 14mm. I'm not sure how to do that and keep its integrity

If you want to keep all the ribs equispaced so that it looks the same as it does now, you will have to manually work out each size and edit each dimension.

Mark - one trick i use if i know that there are going to be 'n slots' in something is to make a sketch with construction lines that are all set to be equal. The overall length is then divided evenly. :)
