I have a Solid Cylinder and created Multiple planes from top to bottom but I can't see them because of the shaded part. I know I am missing something here. How do I change the shaded view so I can see them.

- If you would like to hide one of your parts, you can do so by hovering over the part in the Parts List (at the bottom of the Feature List) and clicking on the eye icon that shows up next to the part name. You can also just right click on the part in question and there will be an option to hide the part.
- If you would like to make one part transparent, you can right click on the part and change its appearance by clicking on the "Edit appearance" option and moving the "A" slider: https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/appearance_editor.htm
- If you would like to change the graphical display style of the entire Part Studio, you can do so from the menu under the view cube: https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/moving.htm (see "View tools" section)
- If you would like to select some face which is obscured by another face, you can use "Select other": https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/select-other.htm

Usually it is easiest to debug these sorts of situations if you post the URL of the document along with your question. Here is a list of best practices that we put together for this forum:

Here is the public URL. How do I see the planes so I can work with them
I think the best option would be to hide "Part 1" by clicking on the eye next to it:
You can show it at any time by clicking on the eye again. For example, you could click on the sketch tool, hide the part, click on the plane you desire, then re-show the part and sketch with the part visible (or just leave it hidden and sketch with it invisible, up to you!)
