How to undercut/recess an inside corner in a sketch

Inside a corner I want to remove material so there is an undercut (like a negative fillet, though I don't have the correct wording). This needs to happen at the sketch stage so I can then rotate it. In the example I have added a circle but the result is the reverse of what I need. What is the best way of achieving this.
This is to allow a locking tab to close up tight without corner interference.
My thanks.
