Moving a modeled part?

Besides mate connectors, is there a method for moving a part to a face, or to a vertex like in an extrusion?

Moving in a part studio or an assembly? In either case, there's a transform tool, but perhaps you can be more specific about what you're trying to accomplish.
Thank you S1mon. I'm working in a part studio, and when moving exsisting parts around, I thought that if I could maintain the direction (axis) I am moving the part but have the move terminate at a give point or face would be very helpful. I can do that with a extrusion, but not with a completed seperate part.
Can that be accomplished?

You might be able to use the "Transform by line" option. It require creating a line first corresponding to the transform distance and direction. You could use either a sketch or a "3D fit spline" between two points in 3D (or a combination of both).
You can also edit the mate connectors to keep the alignment the same when doing a transform by mate connectors.
Great I will give that a try.
