Onshape is completely unusably slow today

joshtargojoshtargo Member Posts: 269 EDU

horrible. just wheel spinning every time I try to use it today. internet is fast and always connected. every time I refresh, it creates a clone of me, so it thinks there's four of me using the same document.
doesn't matter if it's an assembly or a single part studio. all slow.

Is this a particular document? Have you filed a support ticket?

seems to mainly be one document.

close browser, open browser, go to model, see this and spinning wheel

Is that a Part Studio (please let it not be) or an Assembly? What was your last operation? If it was some crazy huge pattern, that might explain the spinner. Close the doc, then on the docs page, right-click the doc and select Details, then in the Details panel, go to Versions and history, expand Main, then right-click Restore the operation before last.

If you refresh the browser and see yourself multiple times, the doc is stuck on the server. If it's not because of the reason above, Support can free it for you (though it will timeout after 10 mins anyway).

it's not after any particular operation. if I am in a part studio and then click on the assembly tab (even after doing nothing), it just spins for 10 min.

The model is from a very large parasolid import from inventor. I don't see any bad geometry, but there are a lot (900) of individual parts in the one giant part studio. I'm trying to clean it up, but I can't do anything without a spinning circle. it happens even after clicking the new fasten mate button in the assembly.

What import option did you use? try the import into single document and not the combine into single part studio?
