Import DWG

giuseppe_cattaneogiuseppe_cattaneo Member Posts: 10

Hi,
I'm new with Onshape (Free license) and I'm trying to import a DWG to start with some examples.
I've imported a DWG without any error BUT, If I try opening it, I get a layout TAB with a whole white page. It seems like the draw is there but not visible.
https://cad.onshape.com/documents/787e019f572f7b8fe2b04348/w/10b60db9668f8a82efe077e9/e/a4ee9fac1ae332e3ae9aa298
Is it possible it has white lines on white background?
I've even tried inseriting the DWG in a sketch but I get thi error evn if the dwg is very simple.

Any suggestion on how to solve?
Thank you!

That's correct, I wander Why I see what I've screenshooted…Could there be a limitation for free license?

Not a license limitation. What browser are you using? Have you tried another browser? I'm guessing there's something in color settings of either the browser or the device that might cause it. Or a limitation of a graphics device.

Nm on the browser question. Just read your earlier post stating so. Have you tried in another computer? Or viewing it on a mobile device.

Ok, It's definetely a Computer problem. With the original computer I've tried almost all browsers and always have the same problem.
On my own Linux PC at home I can see the document :(
Now it's up to me to find out what is the specific problem….:(

But with inserting the DWG in the sketch I have the same error about "too many entities to import" even with other PC :(

There is a limitation on sketch imports. That's normal. See if there is a driver update for your graphics card.
