How can I define which parts are to be displayed in a section view and which are not? For example norm parts

Best regards,

This is not possible for part studio drawing views yet. It is possible to do this with assembly based drawing views:

    Right click the view > Show/hide > Show/hide parts.

Depending on the complexity of your drawing view, you can also Show/hide edges. After the edges are hidden, you can right click the part and edit hatching, set this to general > none.

Hi @MichaelPascoe Thank you but thats not what I wanted. I want to show individual parts as not cut.

Hm, section view part exclusion is available in the part studio and the assembly studio, but not in the drawing studio. Someone correct me if there is a way to do this within drawings. Looks like we will need an IR for this.

I would like to display screws and other standard parts, in a breakout, not cut. I am surprised that such an essential function has not yet been implemented in OS. @NeilCooke
I will write an IR for it.

Thanks for your help Michael and nice sword btw :)

  • @Axel_Collmenter, Hi =) You can do it individually. Right click on section view, then choose "Edit section" function in appeared menu, then choose parts, which you want to exclude (at least, it works in 2025 year, sorry for late).
