Why can I not create a personal onshape account

So I am trying to create a personal account with my regular email. I used to have one but I deleted it because I thought I no longer needed it. Every time I try to sign up it doesn't accept my email. What is happening?

In all likelihood, your account is marked for deletion but not actually deleted, so your email address is still in use. I suggest contacting support (https://www.onshape.com/contact) and they can probably just reinstate your account.
