Failed Thicken from Loft Surface

I am trying to create a spoon-like shape with a thickened loft surfaces however no matter what I try I cannot get the thicken to generate. I don't think there are any sharp corners or self intersecting surfaces but I can't work it out.

Did you make it public?
can you thicken surface 1 or 2 separately?
0.5 mm is asking for too much considering the current curvature quality and small size of the original surfaces. Can you share the doc so that it can be copied for further inspection.
