Consultation on how to create a sweep between two parts in different plains

Hey
I am working on this project: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/30abfffc6b79032456b95856/w/dc7ae6600856ba71ec521018/e/56d033a41ed824669f9a13b3?renderMode=0&uiState=687cb8cd0d56ff38da5f6c65 and i am trying to create a the rail from the current balltray (part) i have to the big cone in the left, i have tried several methods to create the rail going from end to end, connecting on one side and positioning it well in the left part which keeping the swipped face facing up the all time, i would like to hear your thought for how can i do that.
Thanks.

If I understand the question, you can use a Ruled Surface to create a reference face so you can control the orientation of the sweep using "Lock profile faces". Here's an example model I made a while back.

You might find loft with a path helpful. but you may need to add an additional profile or 2 at strategic locations to control the tilt that will be inevivtable when it joins the ball tray at the bottom
Evan What you suggested looks interesting, however i don't think i understand curves enough, you can check my part studio i have tried to project the path from a parallel plane, then project it to a plane i have created using 3 points, the sweep works but i can't seem to lock it.
My second try was adding a birding curve which actually looks good,
I wonder if you can have a look and guide me how to improve it?
And also once i have the rail made, i would like it to have a flat base, because i am going to print it, do you know how can i achieve that?
