Hi,

Is it possible to hide or even delete an imported image when it is needed no more or even bothers you?

When you import an image into a sketch, ONLY put the image there, nothing else. Ok to put a construction line bounding box around it for dimensional purposes. That's it. No lines that you will actually use for extruding later. Complete the sketch.

Then create a second sketch. This is the sketch where you will draw your lines to trace and/or eyeball reference the image, that you will later use for extruding/revolving/etc.

Now, you can hide and unhide the image separately from the later geometry.
