3Dconnexion space mouse has suddenly stopped working.

Hi all, the software for the spacemouse has just updated and now it does not see onshape as running like it used to. It just assumes that its chrome running a webpage and will not rotate or zom properly.
I have used a spacemouse for a longtime so yes I have all the rotation axis switched on.
I am just wondering if anyone has any fixes for this.
All the best,
Paddy

I have to regularly restart the 3Dx service on my W11 machine. Windows Key + type "start" and the "Start 3DxConnection…" comes up. Press enter. Then, refresh any Onshape page, and <sometimes> it will work again!
Also - rebooting the computer seems to help.
Others in the forum have similar issues - both on Mac and Windows: restarting the service regularly seems to be the way.
I have the same issue. it only zooms a bit, but doesn't rotate.
Just updated the drivers to solve it, but it doesn't work.
It's definately related to the chrome connection, because the 3D connexion viewer works just fine.
Giving Onshape "Local network access" permission in Chrome fixed it for me.
how do i do this? i have done all of the other above suggestions. i only started having this issue this week. 3dconnexion has been recognizing onshape within my chrome browser windows 10 perfectly fine before a week ago
Ok! This morning this trick worked indeed!
@jaimeeow : in chrome, just before the address int he address bar, there's a circular icon with two 'slider' where you can set the access rights that specific website has to your pc (like camera, mic, local network access etc.)
THANK YOU!!! i had no idea that button even existed. its like invisible to my brain
i will post screenshot for anyone who also is having a hard time like me 😅
mine works now!!!!
Absolutely spot on JPM. Worked a treat.
Very obvious follow on question though. How the hell did you figure that one out. I mean its one obscure button to click!
Thanks again,
Paddy
I saw it on this forum someplace. I tried but failed to find the thread again. Otherwise I'd have linked to it. I had to share it, as it was such a great fix!
I think I may have found a new workflow - if I can remember to do it!
For me, the problems seem to be related with Sleep mode - if I walk away from my machine for a while or overnight - it's a problem to get the 3DConnexion working again.
I tried Stopping the service before I let the computer sleep - then Started it again when I came back.
(Windows key + type "Stop.." and Windows key + type "Start…").
Refresh the open Onshape tabs, and it seemed to work (once so far!).
