putting points on holes

siddik_musaddeksiddik_musaddek Member Posts: 4

Hi if i imported a part that has multiple holes on it

then what is the quickest way i can add points on the centres of those holes all at once so I can use the hole feature to define a certain hole.

Doing a sketch on top of the existing hole takes too long which is why im looking for maybe a featurescript that has this

Thanks,

You should be able to just use mate connectors directly in the hole tool:

There should be ways to "automate" that using query variables etc but likely not worth the effort unless you have a ton holes to do that way!

If you're looking to do non-hole stuff with imports, my Poly-Mate Connectors feature is designed to give you this kind of non-planar multiselect of mate connectors for other features as well. Combine with Amalgamate to define your own reusable part geometry ecosystem and knock out complex designs without needing to make your own custom features for every little purpose.
