Quirky(?) UI View Cube Zoom & 3D Connexion SpaceMouse Behavior

OnShape newbie here, with thousands of CAD hours elsewhere, and couple of UI questions that seem quirky to me, but may have simple answers.
• Firstly, invariably when selecting an orthogonal (or any) view on the view cube, OnShape does a zoom to fit. Is there any way to maintain the current zoom level, by tweaking a setting or holding Ctrl + Shft + Alt (swear I tried them all) or perhaps a third-party add-in?
• Secondly, I use a 3DConnexion SpaceMouse, and all is good except left-right panning. Updated the driver to latest, verified hardware performance with the manufacturer's app (all good), tweaked 3D Connexion advanced settings, and tried a different browser (Chrome) over what I prefer (Vivaldi) but the OnShape result is equivalent: left-right panning seems dead, everything else works just fine.
Have workaround, namely pressing main mouse scroll wheel and drag-panning, but is not ideal.
Anyone else experience this? Or even better know of a solution?
Thanks in advance!

So the left-right pan issue described above disappeared using this 3DConnexion SpaceMouse configuration.
Reversing the actions (under 'Speed', see 2nd image) along with 'Object Mode' selected here results in 'helicopter joystick' behavior, familiar to gamers everywhere.
Can you use a space mouse as a game controller...?
Probably could, with sufficient customization. The space mouse is 100% customizable in terms of what ASCII strings are sent via aux buttons, and if you dug deep enough I would be surprised you couldn't customize the joystick response strings.
But I've never specifically tried it with flight simulator apps —'flying a helicopter' in my CAD drawings is exciting enough for me…👍️
