Can Sketch Vertices be used as owner Entity for Mates

As per title - I seem to run into a bug where I can use an edge of a sketch as an owner entity, but not vertices/endpoints.
This bug manifests by me initially creating the mate on a sketch endpoint, which then happily assigns the sketch point as the owner entity. When I try and add a rotation through the 'Move' tickbox, the owner entity is lost and am required to use a random edge as an owner entity to attach the mate to the skecth (for downstream sketch driven designs). Vertices no longer seem to be allowed from then onward.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, we do seem to have an inconsistency - placing a mate connector on a point works fine, but then any further manipulations cause the dialog to error out, and you can't mouse-select a point as an owner. I think the workaround is to input all your moves and rotations first, then place the mate connector.
I recommend filing a support ticket so that you know when we've fixed it.
