MBD Revolve Sketch - Diameter

Has anyone tried the new MBD function using the Inspection table. I have tried and set up a sketch of just a basic hollow pin. It allowed me to put tolerances on the length dim but not for the diameters, which were setup as a dim from line through the centreline. There's no option to add a tolerant to it. Do we have to change our modelling philosophy and extrude a tube with diameters…but what if we can only put in a diameter using a revolve sketch ?

Currently we don't support tolerant dimensioning to sketched centerlines however we're working on adding that functionality.

Depending on exactly what information you're needing you may be able to leverage the MBD annotations/dimensioning tools in the inspection panel in the interim

Thanks Dave…I thought that may be the case and that we would have to change the modelling technique and extrude a tube, rather than how its currently dimensioned…..one other question….what about 3D notes required on a model….Creo has a functionality in MBD for adding notes flat to the screen, is this going to be an option in Onshape as well.

@stuart_aspinall We have an improvement for notes, but it's certainly not imminent. From my perspective I'd like to see us get more cases solved in part details and support drawing workflows as a priority even over and above full drawing replacement workflows like notes tips us towards. It's a balancing act and we're listening and we will get to what everyone wants/needs - just won't be imminent on every front.
