tried the instructions in AI and can't find a "export" tab. Trying to test cut with a plasma table. Im pretty ignorant as far as CAD goes. But I follow instructions pretty good. thx Doug

Right-click the tab and select Export…

    A couple notes:
    1. make sure your drawing views are 1:1.
    2. if you use DXF (i assume you are) keep track of the units you are exporting in (inches or mm) and check the size on the machine that the cam software imports with / is using. I cant recall if DXF even encodes its units but Ive hit this often enough and heard enough stories to encourage people to check.

The drawing tab. Right click on the drawing tab you are currently viewing. If you are actually in a part studio which you are mistakenly calling a drawing here, then you right click on the face of the part you want to export as a dwg/dxf. If your in sheet metal, you can right click on the flat pattern to save it out.
