Can groups / assemblies be defined in a part studio

Just wondering if it is possible to define assemblies and sub assemblies from the part studio and be able to create drawings of these?

You can create your entire sub assembly in a part studio. And treat it as a sub assembly, and detail it as such.
But You won't get proper part counts, as each part will be unique and need it's own properties. I guess this only matters if you're using a BOM app.
Instead just insert your part studio into an assembly, then use the group mate to lock everything in position (mate your whole studio in one mate
Then replace all of the duplicate parts in the assembly with the main part. Don't forget to "Fix" one of the parts to lock it relative to the origin.
You can also insert assemblies into higher level assemblies to get your sub assembly structure.
To define an assembly FROM a part studio.. No. Part studio's live on the lowest level of a tree. Assemblies can reference studio's, but studio's cannot reference Assemblies (With the exception of In-Context which is another topic)5

Just need to figure out how to number the parts and assemblies without replacing them as instances.
If renaming: you can change the part names in the studio at anytime and everything updates.
If you mean replacing duplicate parts: this you will need to do manually using mates in the assembly.
On your sheet just insert a view and select your newly made sub-assembly.
You have to keep in mind though that you cannot window select things that are already in assemblies (or patterns). You need to pick those from the tree. (patterns need to be re-made in the new sub-assembly)
