How to Deliver Drawings from OnShape to Production Line

Caleb_PlumleeCaleb_Plumlee Member Posts: 1
I work in a manufacturing/ R&D environment, and need to communicate production-ready drawings and part models with the production team. Since the environment is active production, I need to be able to communicate (via a schedule) which part number to make, and have the operator quickly and accurately identify a very specific version of the related drawing. Our shop floor production team does not have in-depth OnShape branching and versioning knowledge, nor do we desire for them to have to learn these things. (They are strictly production... they identify what part is next -> look up drawing/model -> Machine or assemble parts)

How do you communicate drawings and models with production personnel without physically printing, or statically exporting them? How do you ensure that your production operator gets the exact drawing or model from the exact version, of the exact branch you desire them to find?

    Hi @Caleb_Plumlee,

The URL of versions, workspaces, and releases on Onshape is static.  If you navigate to a certain tab of a certain version and copy/paste the URL from your address bar, it will always point to that version of that tab.
