    +1, also a Part library would be great. So lets say you can Select a Document and then select the Part you want to copy from it.

    +1    And CTRL + C would be much more useful as Copy command instead of Create Circle command

    There is a workaround.. Thanks for @Philip Thomas (in thread Standard parts..)

    Insert one of each Part studio to assembly tab
    Next, translate the assembly into a Parasolid tab, and then translate that tab back into the Onshape format making sure that you select the ‘Flatten’ option. Now you have all the parts in a single part studio.

    For solid modelling new users: bear in mind that the @Philip Thomas crafty round-trip method does result in a 'dumb' (ie non parametric) model. There are some quite powerful direct editing tools allowing a range of post facto changes, but such models can no longer be edited by going back in time and changing the underlying 'recipe'.
    It also bears emphasising: this is a temporary workaround to plug a short term gap in capability, but the concept has broader applicability, so it may be worth adding to your arsenal.

    @ka_wang_lee Currently you can copy/paste Part Studios but not one single part.
    So are you saying you can copy a part studio and paste it into another part studio?

    So the only way to import a cad block is into an assembly, or at least you can't import into an existing part studio tab?  This seems to negate the training video that says drawing all your parts in one part studio instead of multiple studios is the preferred method.

    Mr. Bond, you can copy/paste part studios from document to another - not into another part studio.

    Inside document you can also derive part from another part studio.

    Let's be patient with cross-document references - we know they are under development and we all probably agree with Onshape that quality is no. 1 priority and release schedule is just in top 10.

    Hi,

    How can one Translate an Assembly into a Parasolid Tab, and then back into an Onshape Format? Do you mean Export and then Import back?

    Thank you.

    @joseph_fournier
    Yes, export to parasolid then import back.

    @joseph_fournier - did you try Derive part? Once a part is inserted into another Part Studio you can use mate connectors and transform to position it where you want to and you get to keep the associativity with the original part definition too.

    It has been nearly six years since this answer was posted.  Why is this not explained in the actual documentation if I ask for help in copying a part?
