    It's the first option you turn off when you install SW ;p

    It turns this work flow to sketch a chain of 3 line segments:
    Click Line tool (or press L)
    Click first point
    Click second point
    Click third point
    Click fourth point
    Press ESC

    Into this monstrosity:
    click Line tool (or press L)
    click first point
    click second point
    click Line tool (or press L)
    click second point again
    click third point
    click Line tool (or press L)
    click third point again
    click fourth point

    @edward_anderson if you click-hold-drag-release you will only sketch one line segment at a time.

    For unconnected line segments you can always click-start/drag-release-end to make a series of unconnected lines.
