How to make a surface in a parts studio into a part?

After importing in files, a lot of them made themselves into parts but several became surfaces. Im not sure how to make them turn into parts.

The importer will attempt to create a solid first.
if you have any surfaces, it usually means there are broken areas in the model, usually caused by overlapping faces that appear to be zero thickness.

You may need to enclose the surfaces to resolve them as solid parts.

(this is common in most cad importers)

@Mazie_Houchens - This is a common problem in CAD.
If the 'part' was a valid solid in the originating system, please open a support ticket and share the Document with support (as it likely should work).
If the original data was not sewn, the solution is usually a manual process of looking for the missing faces or open edges and patching the openings until it sews into a valid body.
This is a very short summary as there are many other considerations.  Again, please open a support ticket for more guidance.
