Improvements in Exploded View?

I am looking into making internal training material for Onshape documents before starting a new product design.  I wanted to know if exploded views is in the pipeline for updated features in the foreseeable future or will the recommended approach to exploded views continue to be the branching method outlined in the documentation and video linked below.

The biggest difficulty found in the previous product design documents is that we may get too many branches and it becomes messy.  Some users also find it challenging to use branches as it is too difficult for them to learn. If there is a new explosion view tool coming up, it would be nice to know as we can use that tool instead of showing people how to branch to create exploded views.
