Grow/increase a dimension in a pattern?

I want to create a circular pattern of a rectangular extrusion feature. As the feature rotates, I want the length of the rectangle to increase. Is this possible? I've tried a sketch pattern where the length is an equation (1+#rotangle/300) and the starting angle of the rectangle is defined by the dimension #rotangle, but this did not work.
