How would I make a surface at the jionts of the fingers?

I have been using surface modeling and i am having troubles making a surface between the joints of the fingers.
Any suggestions?

    Here is the approach I would take, see the diagram below:
    • Split the surface where the red dots are located
    • Loft the lines that are highlighted in yellow
    You can use a similar approach for each joint. Loft with lots of edge control will be the best tool here.
