Offset outline over surface or solid

To explain simply is there a function or a script which allows to shift the contour of a surface to make the interior (obviously the surface is in 3d). In fact my idea is that often when I create an object I have to extrude faces etc. the thicken tool helps me quite well but the goal is to be able to narrow my border so that it goes towards the interior of my surface (I use onshape for artistic purposes). I put an image to better understand.

Alternatively, create an offset surface of 0mm then use move boundary to offset the edges inwards.
