Errornous Geometry in Exports
Hey, I'm trying to export this part for 3d-printing: When exporting as stl (I tried different solutions and custom values in export settings) the top surface in the middle is missing: When exporting as step file there is a problem with the outer surface: Any ideas what could cause these issues (and how to fix it)?
Downsize large step files
Hi together, i export step Files (sheet metal part) and send them to producers. The step files contain a high amount of surfaces, that makes the step file pretty large and the producers cannot handle it. How can i compress a step file to get a smaller step file size? Attached the sheet metal part, it has 12 MB, i need it…
Delete imported stp Files
I've imported a bunch of stp files and now have them in part studios. which is fine for now. Can I delete the original imported .stp tab?
Importing .stp / .step file appears only as one Surface. How to transform to an Onshape Part
When importing a .stp or .step file it shows up in a Part Studio only as one "Surface" in the lower left area. But I need one solid "Part" for editing it e.g. removing parts of the geometry. I have tried various things link converting to solid via Freecad or importing in a different format. Nothing worked. Is there a…

I tried uploading a .stp (STEP) model I exported from 123D Design version 2.1 and there appears to be a surface missing from the model as displayed by OnShape after uploading. Has anyone else experienced missing files from STP assembly imports?
I have on two seperate occasions imported an assembly from Creo into OnShape as an STP file. On both occasions the resulting OnShape assembly was missing a component. The STP file opened correctly from within Creo so the component wasn't missing from the file.
