Re: How do I make my Bezier curves curvature continuous?
That connection is already G2, which is probably just fine, especially since it will be hand polished anyway. If you really want it to be G3, and you like it flattening out, you can use 3 control points in a line at the ends. If you want all of it to have some curvature, you might want to play with the following… -
Re: wrap misalignment
Also, I think I figured out what is actually happening that causes them to be offset, because each sketch does not directly intersect the cylinder, when Onshape calculates the wrap it rotates each rectangle about it's center point to make it tangent to the cylinder, and then it is able to wrap each rectangle. Please consider these enhancements as a priority. BTW, I don't see how conical made it ahead of variable for machine design?… -
How to turn a diagonal line into a rectangle?
Hello all, I'm new to Onshape. I'm trying to figure out how to take a diagonal line that is in a sketch, and turn it into a diagonal rectangle of a specified width. In other words, I need to create a long/thin rectangle cutout that is placed at a 45 degree angle off horizontal. Any ideas? Thank you.
