How do I create a new Plane, that is REALLY oriented to the Mate Connector?
I tried lots of combination - and if I'm lucky i just get one which is tanget to it, but not oriented the right way (rotated around the Z axis, so that X and Y match) ... basically I just want to "sketch" onto the Loft's End (selected Face), but it is not aligned. Can you please tell me how to do this, because it really… -

Re: How can I display a grid when I am drawing an sketch?
@"Pete Yodis" I use the grid system in Geomagic all the time. It tells me where I am on the plane I am sketching on. If I want a box centered on the Z axis and 2" square then I can move to X+1Y0 start my line go to Y-1 to X-1 to Y+1 to X+1 and back to X+1Y0 done. No draw a line, dim line length, dim line to Y axis, dim… -
Revolute Mate X,Y Translation
Hey, I'm wondering if anybody knows how to create a revolute mate that accounts for x or y translation. For example, consider a vertical cylinder pointing in the z direction. I also have a ball that lies on the same plane as the face of the top of the cylinder, but it is offset some amount in the x direction. I want to… -
Re: BOM columns: Possible to add XYZ-Dimension of a part?
Try the Stock Size Featurescript. It will work for most parts modeled in a parts studio. I believe it will work at all subscription levels. It places "X x Y x Z" dimensions of a bounding box for the part into the "Title 1" BOM column, and will optionally show a representation of the bounding box in the parts studio. I have… -
How to loft along a percentage of a guide
I am creating a camera mount for an FRC robot, and need to make a bit of room for its heat sink. With the goal of maintaining strength, I would like to keep a certain percentage of the mount, (30,50,60? idk) as solid material, with the other portion of it being structured to let heat out. The first x% of the loft, starting… -
