API Limits
We have just had an email telling us we have exceeded our limit of API requests, and we need to buy more. When looking at the limits, it is a mere 20000 per year per company! We have 5 users, so that is 4000 per user. We have multiple programs for exporting, renaming documents and parts, downloading, etc, for our workflows. This creates multiple requests for every drawing, so we will run out in about 2 weeks.
This limit looks to have been put in place about 3 days ago!
Re: Fastened mate
@matthew_rosete380 , Onshape uses cloud resources for all the "heavy" processing so the local computer only needs to display it's hard to be 100% sure without seeing the whole thing but I'm guessing the slow down is on the Onshape side, due to the large number of mates.
As for a solution, I would suggest grouping things into sub-assemblies for things that are fastened together and "lock" these in the top level so that the mates aren't constantly being re-computed.
Re: Should complicated geometry for a single profile be sketched in multiple sketches
You very much want to do separate sketches on top of each other, each sketch for a specific thing and as simple as possible. Downstream sketches reference upstream sketches. You can freely apply constraints between entities in one sketch and another.

Re: Swivel Bracket Lock Teeth/Grooves
You could create two 20° wedges and loft between them.
Re: How to loft internal holes?
Loft is probably the right tool. But, as you've probably figured out, you can't make a loft with internal loops. So, either do two lofts (an add then a remove) or loft a surface and then thicken.
Re: Custom Feature: Cable/Wire Routing
Changelog for release 1.198.0
⭐ Fixed issue in Wire clip feature when deleting unused clips
⭐ Swapped position of "Insert" and "Define" menus in Wire clip feature to be consistent with the Wire connector feature
Internal clip IDs are now more robust - if an unused clip is deleted from a Wire clip feature, downstream Wire route features will not be affected. This capability can be enabled on existing Wire clip features by editing the feature and making a simple change to update the feature (e.g. switch from Insert to Define and back again).
Bravo Render studio
I have to say, render studio has been really noticeably improved on! The time to startup the studio and the time to regenerate the studio geometry is so much more palatable now. After years of complaining and being frustrated with render studio, at times crossing the line into angry feedback, just wanted to say, I really notice the improvements and find it so much more usable than it was even 6 months ago. 😄
Re: how do i export models at the correct size
Are you exporting as stl? If so, stl does not track units, and your slicer probably thinks it’s in mm. You can scale the parts in the slicer by 25.4. That converts in to mm.
Another option is to export as step. Step format does keep track of units. Not all slicers accept step, however. I’d try this first and if it works, always use step going forward.
