I found this image on the net. I only know it was a moch-up from a design student. I would like to bring this into reality. I’m a photographer by trade, but a motorcycle enthusiast at heart.
is it possible to create a model using a photograph? I have a good friend who owns a metal fabrication business with CNC tube/pipe benders and a CNC burn table.

Anything is possible, but that's a very complicated thing to learn CAD on. There is no convert photograph to solid function, so you'd be designing using the photograph for reference. Have you had a chance to look at the Onshape learning centre? That'll give you a feeling for what's possible.

Nonsense! Design can be daunting when looking from afar but you simply have to break a mechanical assembly down to its basic parts. Often a mechanical part is just a bunch of squares, circles, etc. You could start with modeling the wheels, or lights, or some other small parts. With Onshape you build a series of related parts in a part studio and put them together in an assembly. As Owen suggested I would recommend checking out our learning center to get a better idea of where to start.

Sorry that wasn't meant to put you off the idea, just to manage expectations. If you have some time to learn and then to put to the design it's all possible. There is a load of good training, free webinars and of course folks willing to help on the forum.

If you have many photographs, you can use photogrammetry software to turn that into a mesh, which you can then use as reference in Onshape
