Doubts regarding OnShape standard

Hi there

OnShape standard license can be used for commercial purposes? or must be Professional version? it is not clear for me.

Can I use same user account in different PCs at same time? or must be created different accounts?

Hi there @unai_ibarguren - all paid accounts can be used for commercial purposes (Onshape Standard, Onshape Professional, Onshape Enterprise). The Free and Education plans cannot. The person owning an account can sign in on multiple devices and web browsers at the same time, but an account cannot be shared.

NeilCooke thanks for your quick reply. What do you mean by "an account cannot be shared" exactly?

Another question I forgot to ask about; Is there any way to save native OnShape files or everything must be stored in the cloud servers? We store everything in our own ERP. I know we could for example export a drawing as PDF and store it, but I wonder if there´s any way to export a native onshape part, assm or drawing file.

A user's account cannot be used by anybody else - each user has their own unique sign-in credentials.

Onshape does not use files so there is no native format to download. The URL for each document is unique, so companies tend to add that as an item in their ERP system. Clicking on the URL will open the Onshape Document in a web browser so there is no need for PDFs or viewing software or CAD files. Hope this helps.

But, if you like, you can still export a PDF or a step file to store in your ERP.
