Dear folks,

Is it possible to extrude a Cylinder arround a line with a given diameter without using a sketch?
i m first draw a line with two points and the function opFitSpline, than i want to extrude a Cylinder with a diameter, which i give in the annotation, around the created line.

thanks

I don't believe that is possible. You're essentially trying to thicken a line, but thicken requires a surface input, not a curve. You will need to extrude a sketched circle or some other circular geometry.

Well, I stand (or sit) corrected

Technically fCylinder does use a sketch, you just don't have to make it yourself.  So you can be right too @mahir :)

This reminds me of how many times I've wanted to use a point in a sketch as the axis for a rotation but I have to create a perpendicular plane, then a sketch, then a perpendicular line ...

@jrs_spedley you can just add a mate connector to the point. Then rotate on its z axis
