hotkey and quick menu for Create Selection

I'd like to have a way to bring up a Create Selection menu like the one you get by pressing S. I also want to see a set of icons for each selection type instead of the Enum dropdown which takes a lot of clicks. It would be great if there were a different hotkey for a face-selection and an edge-selection. This workflow would be one keystroke and two clicks (select entity, and select criteria icon).

@Evan_Reese We will leave this to when you have the option to build your own quick keys.  Not taking requests on any other hard coded shortcuts at the moment.

This would be awesome! would improve the current tool workflow. Can we build our own quick keys currently?

I can't believe this has not been implemented yet. Creating selection, and switching view modes (shaded/unshaded, hidden line on /of) requires WAY to many clicks through sub menus.
