Not able to select/pick the orign....

Presently i m working on a sketch,
Initially origin is in hidden condition and i selected a sketch command(say "line") then i unhide the origin to draw the sketch entity from origin..But i not able to select origin..
For drawing a line i have to come out of active command and again i have to select line command...
Can any one suggest me why it is happening..?

Yes, the potential selections are set at the time the tool is selected. I run into it from time to time, usually in the opposite direction where I don't want to infer to the origin but hid it right after selecting the tool.
