Can someone explain why this piece won't work?

For some reason, onshape won't let me remove a 1 by 1 section of extrusion. If anyone knows why, please let me know, it would be appreciated.

We'll need a lot more information to understand what you're trying to do and what is going wrong. If you can share a public link to the document with the problem you're having, people will be able to take a closer look.
