Select Other not working

So I discovered there's a way to select the hidden faces or edges with the "Select Other" menu.
It's supposed to be triggered by the " º " key on the Spanish keyboard but it's not working for me. I hover over the hidden faces (part is translucent) and click the º button and then clicking one of the faces but it selects the face in front of the hidden ones. I've tried clicking the º button before and after clicking the hidden faces without any luck of getting the "select other" menu.
Any ideas of what could be going wrong? Is there any way to trigger this menu with other keys?

I thought I was going mad.
I was sure the @ key (on uk keyboards) activated the "select other" menu, but then it stopped working. I searched a few forum posts, thinking others must have this same problem.
Its been a few weeks of not being sure I was right… because I don't use the "select other" menu so much.
but then I remembered I moved to firefox not so long ago, (because somewhere on these forums I swear @NeilCooke said it has a much larger memory cache, and we did get instant performance improvement on big parts studios when we moved - although now I can't find that forum discussion)
Anyway, I can confirm the @ key does not access the "select other" menu on fire fox. I think this is a fire fox issue, not an onshape issue, and I put it here for any one else struggling to access this menu through hot keys, who might be using firefox.
Should be the key above tab so on uk keyboard that would be ‘
