Add images to Assembly?

Is there any way to add images, such as, a decal to parts on an assembly?

I can insert the image into my part file, but once I insert the part into my assembly file the image gets removed.

@stephanie_bartolotta, presumably you inserted the image into a sketch in the part studio.  You should be able to insert that same sketch into the assembly.  Does that suit your purpose?

Feel free to share a link to a public document with a simplified example to clarify the goal.

Thanks for responding.  Yes what you are describing is exactly what I would like to do.  Below is a link to a document with an image of a smiley face that has been extruded.  If you could please explain how to add the object plus the image to the assembly file I would greatly appreciate it!

@stephanie_bartolotta, I struck out!  Onshape does not appear to have the capability to insert an image into an assembly ... yet.  But with a 3-week update cycle maybe we can keep our fingers crossed.

I inserted the image into a Part Studio sketch just like you did.  But when I inserted that sketch into the assembly, the image did NOT come through.

I did find an older forum thread (https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/12178/importing-an-image-into-an-assembly) in which @NeilCooke stated that it is not yet possible to insert images into Onshape.
