Hi
I wrote about long ago but until now when we cut a rib we cannot cancel the hatch.
When you are going to fix that bug?
Thanks

While it would be nice to have, it's always struck me as weird to take something from being a literal cross-section into being a schematic stylized version of what's happening. The rib is there, there's material there - so why pretend it's not there? If it really makes the section hard to read, consider a different section.
I started to learn hand drawing in 1968.
Until today I didn't hear that drawings rules has been changed.

You can change the section view hatch to different pattern or complete hide it by right-clicking on the section hatch and then "edit hatch section". Check the video for more details.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Many draughting shortcuts were introduced to be exactly that - shortcuts. While it's nice to have, to maintain drawing board standards, I don't think it makes the drawing harder to read. We have plenty of other things to fix right now, so I would not expect this to be high on the agenda. Sorry.
I believe most other CAD packages that support this feature (e.g. Solid Edge) require that you use a rib feature to allow hatch properties to be set for the rib in the drawing. See link to Solid Edge help below. Albeit I agree this would not be super-high on my priority list, since Onshape already has a rib feature, wouldn't this be much easier to implement?

Useful geometry creation >> drawing details.

That does look super useful - added to my toolbar. The UI is fine. When you need a feature like this, you really need it, and the time it saves is huge.
The only thing this is missing is the ability to handle ribs that are sketched normal to the rib, or extruded at an angle to the tops of the ribs.
