Solid parts

Would anyone know how to make a part act like a solid? In an assembly I want the other parts to "hit" it instead of swinging through it.
Any ideas?

Collision is not yet detected but you can use mate limits to achieve the desired results

You can use limits to stop part from rotating or sliding. You will need to work out your angles/distances to simulate it hitting the part which is acting like the solid. Currently you cannot just use your existing part to set your limits, you will need to mathematically calculate the limit. Hope that helps.

In addition to using limits you can also check for some interferences (if necessary ) by placing motion in a possible collision position and using the section view tool. Red areas will show overlap.   Another Fit/Form/Function check approach.
